In Reading Wonderland, students will have the option to engage in fun extension homework activities that further enhance their learning experience. These activities may include: 1. Create a Storyboard: Students can create a visual storyboard of their favorite part of a story, including characters, setting, and key events. 2. Word Detective: Students can become word detectives by finding new vocabulary words in their reading and creating a mini-dictionary with definitions and sentences. 3. Genre Explorer: Students can explore a genre of their choice by reading a book from that genre and writing a short review or summary. 4. Inference Challenge: Students can practice making inferences by writing their own short stories with clues for others to infer the endings. To check for correctness and completion, I will provide clear guidelines and rubrics for each homework activity. Students may be required to submit some assignments, especially those that directly align with the week's lessons or are essential for skill development. However, I understand that each student learns differently, so while all assignments are encouraged for maximum learning benefit, I may offer flexibility for students who need alternative options or accommodations. The focus is on fostering a positive and engaging learning experience while promoting growth and understanding in reading comprehension and skills.Grading
