This course is designed for aspiring authors who want to write and design their book using Canva. Whether you're writing a children's book, a short story, or a memoir, this class will guide you step by step through the entire process of creating, designing, and publishing a book. You will learn the ins and outs of Canva’s design tools, page layout basics, adding visuals, and finalizing your book for publishing. In this self-paced course, you will get access to clear, easy-to-follow lessons that break down each element of book creation. From designing your book cover to learning how to format text and incorporate images, you'll be able to bring your writing to life visually. Additionally, you will have the tools to publish your book digitally or in print, allowing you to share your completed project with the world! This course is structured into 3 modules, each designed to guide you through the essential steps of creating and publishing. This is a self-paced online course, which allows you to complete the lessons at your own speed. Each module is packed with written instructions, actionable tasks, and plenty of resources to guide you through the book creation process. You will have access to course materials, including downloadable resources, templates, and design examples, to use throughout the course. This course is entirely text-based with supporting downloadable materials and videos. We’ll provide step-by-step instructions with clear outlines, examples, and detailed design tips to help you along the way. You’ll be given practical assignments and design exercises that will help you implement the skills you learn in each lesson. Each lesson is designed to be hands-on, allowing you to immediately practice what you’ve learned using Canva. My teaching style is interactive and hands-on. I aim to guide you through every aspect of the design and writing process so that you feel confident at each stage of the journey. I use clear, concise language and provide examples so that complex concepts are easy to understand and apply. Since this is a self-paced class, you’ll have the flexibility to take your time with each module. I encourage learners to revisit concepts as needed and experiment with their own designs. You can always refer to the provided resources to reinforce your learning and ensure your book looks as professional as possible. This class does not involve direct live interaction, but you will have the opportunity to reach out through the course platform's messaging system or email if you have questions or need clarification. I offer feedback on your assignments, giving you the chance to refine your design and make improvements. You can also connect with other learners in the course discussion forums, where you can share ideas, ask for feedback, and collaborate. Overall, you’ll be able to interact with the course material and me via email, making this a great option for those who prefer self-directed learning but still appreciate personalized support.
