Class Experience
Each tutoring session will be created based off of the student's needs and interests. I ask the parents to send me an email letting me know their goals for their child. I then create individual mini goals to help the student meet their goals. These sessions are set up for a one-on-one type class to ensure that students are gaining the understanding and confidence they need to acquire in the specific area of choice. If your student is struggling with reading, I use a program that will help you see amazing results in just 4 weeks. We really focus on phonics and blending as you read. I encourage my readers no to guess but to read the sounds. We can change the time of this course to best meet your child's needs. As their teacher, I will create lessons and activities that are engaging, supportive, and fun. I will teach skills and concepts in a way that the student can apply them outside the classroom. Subjects that I tutor are as follows but not limited to: 1. Math (elementary) 2. English (elementary - grammar, writing, reading, spelling) 3. Social Studies (elementary) 4. ESL (English as a second language) June 1- week one--a, i, c, m, p, t, s, n, h, d, the, a, this, is, June 8 - Week Two--o, e, b r, f, l, sh, g, ng what, when, was, says June 15--Week Three u j, v, k, ck, qu you, look, get, said June 22--Week Four--ar, or, tch, z, y more, your, do, see

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Audrey, and I am so glad to be here and am excited to share a little about me. I love learning and teaching. Every day is a day to learn something new no matter how old we are.
I attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri earning a bachelors in elementary education with an emphasis in early child. I then went back to school and received my bachelor's in communication science disorders which allows me to be a speech therapist assistant.

✔️5 years homeschool tutor
My classes are developed to help students have the foundational skills to become lifelong learners. Also, there are classes that are developed to help students to build on their desires and passions, so they can meet their goals.
I believe every learner has the opportunity to learn if they have a good attitude and the right environment. The environment makes a big difference on the learner's attitude. In my classes, I always engage as many senses as possible, since research shows that stronger neural pathways are formed when more senses are engaged! Students also take control of their own learning by asking questions and sharing what they know.
I am more a facilitator and try help where is needed and ask engaging questions.
Some fun facts about me include a love for outdoors, spending time with family, and reading. Alex, my dog, looks like a fox. I always like to learn something new and now I am learning to play the piano.
