In this class, we will use the following third-party tools to support learning and engage students in interactive, educational activities:

Nearpod - Nearpod will be used to present interactive lessons, activities, videos, and quizzes related to our topics. Students will not need an account, as the instructor will provide access codes during each class.

Epic - Epic provides access to a curated selection of reading materials. While an account may be required if students wish to access books outside of class, they do not need an account for in-class activities. Parents are encouraged to review Epic’s privacy policy and may wish to sign up for a free trial or subscription.

Flocabulary (via Nearpod) - Vocabulary and comprehension-building videos from Flocabulary will be presented through Nearpod screen-share. No account is required for students.

Raz-Kids - Raz-Kids will be used to access leveled reading passages tailored to each student's needs. Students will need a Raz-Kids account, which I will help to set up. All reading material will be provided during class, but independent access allows additional practice.

Time for Kids - Time for Kids will offer engaging, age-appropriate articles on current events and educational topics. Students will view articles through screen-share, so no account is necessary. Parents may also wish to explore Time for Kids independently.
