Reading! - Build Your ESL Comprehension and Confidence With an Expert

In this class, we will read a wonderful story and give quality instruction to students from 1st, 2nd and 3rd-grade levels. Each class will focus on basic reading skills. Students will learn to comprehend the text to a greater degree and get in touch with their imagination as they listen and follow the reading. Each week the story will be different with the same characters, thus building a kind of friendship between the two. They will learn about the different characteristics and personalities of all the protagonists. We will also do some activities to review the fun main points and create our own stories too!
In each class, we will: 
1. Meet and give introductions. 
2. Pre-talk about the story that will be read, and guess what may happen in the story. 
3. Read the fun short story. 
4. We will discuss comprehension and do the activities provided by slides. 
The first four weeks will look like this:
Class one: Minnie's Campout 
Class two: Scardey-Cat Sleepover
Class three: A Perfect Picnic 
Class four: The Bravest Dog
Class five: Minnie's Scavenger Hunt 

Note: The idea of the class is to have too many students; this will allow all the learners to express ideas and feel part of the class. A goal will be to assign something to read to each learner, (if they feel up to it). This will help incorporate each learner and build on their confidence through collaboration. I will guide the learners to work as a small team to reach the goal of helping each other become better-equipped readers.
