Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-time class, I will assess your child’s reading skills, identifying their strengths and areas for growth. You'll receive valuable feedback and a personalized learning plan designed to support their progress and boost their confidence.

This session is also a chance for your child to feel comfortable and engaged! Through fun conversations about their favorite books, toys, and interests, I’ll build a positive connection that helps create the best learning environment possible.

After this initial class, we can develop an ongoing learning plan tailored to your child’s needs. I’ll share my recommendations with you, and together, we’ll create a path to literacy success.

Learning Goals

Literacy Skills Assessment – Students will be evaluated on key reading skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Personalized Learning Plan – Based on the assessment, I will provide targeted feedback and create a customized plan to support their reading development.

I am a certified reading teacher with years of experience helping children develop strong literacy skills. As a Title I reading teacher, I have worked closely with students who struggle with reading, using research-based strategies to improve their phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

I have also served as a reading interventionist, providing personalized instruction to meet the unique needs of each learner. In addition to my classroom experience, I have trained and coached educators in best practices for literacy instruction, ensuring effective teaching strategies that lead to student success.
