In this one-time class, learners will be assessed by an experienced teacher, tutor, and Wilson Reading certified instructor in phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Learners will be assessed on their phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension skills during this 40-minute course. Depending on the age/grade/level of the learner, their assessment may be phonics or reading fluency/comprehension heavy. I am a former elementary school teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience. I have taught in public, private, and public charter schools in Washington, DC, and Maryland. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology as well as a Master's in Education. I have training in the Orton Gillingham method and am certified in the Wilson Reading System.
