Class Experience

I love to read and I love to teach children to read!  Reading can come so easy for some students, but it is a real struggle for others.  Come join me in these private individualized classes as I guide your child  to become a successful reader.  The one-on-one tutoring sessions will be taught by a certified teacher with 31 years of classroom experience.  Fun activities will be provided to help your child meet their learning goals. The classroom atmosphere will be calm and relaxed so your child will know it's okay to make a mistake or ask questions. That's how we learn!  Assignments will also be provided to help practice the skills discussed in class.  Hope to see you in class and let's get started!

Learning Goals

Students will learn to read cvc words, sight words, and much more.

Supply List

Students should bring paper and pencil or a marker board and a marker to class.

External Resources

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

 All kids can learn.  It's my pleasure as a teacher to get the opportunity to help your child learn.  I have 31 years of varied classroom teaching experience including preschool, kindergarten, first, third, and fifth grades. I also have two years of experience as an online ESL teacher.  I have my Masters of Science in Elementary Education from Southwest Missouri State University.    I love teaching kids!   I have a passion and a love in my heart for helping kids.
