Class Experience
One-on-one math tutoring on concepts that your child is struggling with. I am a certified elementary school math teacher with a Bachelor of Education. I taught in the public elementary school in 3rd grade and loved teaching math concepts to my students. Please request the time that best suits your child and your family, I have a flexible schedule. Tutoring can be offered to students between the grades of Kindergarten and Grade 6. Please notify me of which concept your child needs assistance with, in order to have the proper resources. I will start with an assisted assessment of the student's previous knowledge to see what what your student needs to focus on in their grade level. Concepts that can be reviewed can include but are not limited to: long division, multiplication, fractions, percent, problem-solving, money, and much more. I like to use a variety of techniques with my classes to suite each student's learning style. As I get to know your student more, these techniques can be personalized to their unique way of learning and personality.

Hello friends! Teacher Steph here and I can't wait to see you in my classroom. I love to teach on a whole range of topics from mythological creatures of Harry Potter to Science of gardening or soccer strategy and plays. I taught in the US elementary classroom for one year and then 2.5 years of teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes online. My philosophy of teaching is to be a champion for children in my classroom. I want each student to succeed and feel safe when I am their teacher. I am a mom to 3 kiddos - two boys and a baby girl.
