Welcome to my class everyone! 

You can take this class from 1 - 5 times a week!

This reading class is perfect for anyone who is looking to improve their reading skills. I have an array of resources from early phonics and CVC word books to advanced reading with Oxford Reading Tree books. The books are fun and engaging and learners will get to know the characters - Biff, Chip and Kipper!

Learners will be initially assessed for the accurate level of reading - this will be done based on their pronunciation, fluency, accuracy, pronunciation and speed. This will only take around 5-10 minutes as I have had lots of experience with level placement of children throughout my career, so I will be keen to get them reading.  Then I will plan a set of lessons to suit your learner whether that be game-based, activity-based or book based. 

Once your child's reading level is accurately identified, we will read a book of their choice at their level - with guidance and support throughout. There will be no pressure on the child as I am a very calm and patient teacher and want to get the best out of each and every one of my students.

Any Oxford Tree reading books or activities will be shown online, so learners will be able to see the book very clearly on their screens and can even be annotated by myself and the learner. Although there will be no writing involved in this class, comprehension questions will be asked throughout and at the end of the book - this is to ensure learners can show a good understanding of what they have read. 

The advantage of this 1:1 environment is that the whole class is made to suit your child and help them progress in their reading skills and become more confident. They will get to know the well-loved characters of the books - Biff, Chip, Kipper and Floppy, and really start to love reading.
