Print & Cursive Handwriting Tutoring for Ages 7-18

Jennifer Howell has been leading handwriting (print and cursive) courses and fine motor skills practice sessions on Outschool since 2018. She is often asked to offer private tutoring and created these one-on-one sessions in response to those requests.

Each learner has unique needs, and that is why each session is customized. Choose from print (manuscript), cursive, or a combination of both. Perhaps you’d like for your learner to focus on writing their name or to practice specific letters with which they’ve found to be challenging. Another option is to choose one or more of the lessons listed below.

Choose one of the lessons below or customize your session per the needs of your learner.

Lesson 1: A demonstration and guided practice of these "up and right" lower case letters: b, e, h, i, l, r, s, and t. Worksheets for homework will be provided.

Lesson 2: A demonstration and guided practice of these "up and right" lower and upper case letters: f, j, k, p, S, and G. Also, a demonstration and guided practice of these "up and left" upper case letters: I and J.  Worksheets for homework will be provided.

Lesson 3: A demonstration and guided practice of these "counter clockwise" lower and upper case letters: a, c, d, g, o, A, C, E, and O. Worksheets for homework will be provided.

Lesson 4: A demonstration and guided practice of these upper and lower case letters: q, m, n, U, and u. Also, a demonstration and guided practice of these "boomerang" upper case letters: B, M, N, P, and R.  Worksheets for homework will be provided.

Lesson 5: A demonstration and guided practice of these "scoop group" upper and lower case letters: V, W, X, Y, v, w, x, and y. Also, a demonstration and guided practice of these "clockwise" letters:  Q, Z, and z.  Worksheets for homework will be provided.

Lesson 6: A demonstration and guided practice of these upper case letters:  F, T, D, H, K, and L.  Worksheets for homework will be provided.
