Princess Themed Dance Class - Beginner Hip-Hop (FLEX Class)

Students will be given feedback and encouraged to share photos or video of you practicing your dance routine! I’d also love to see your crafts that you have made!Class Experience
Each week I will lead a warm-up and fun exercises along with some hip-hop moves for about 15 minutes. Choreography will be taught and will learn a new routine each week! By the end of our 5 week classes your student will have learned 5 different routines! Throughout the FLEX lessons there will be activities and crafts incorporated during class as well. Throughout the 5 lessons we will hear all different music representing most every princess you can think of! Week 1: Cinderella themed. During this class we will start off with a warm-up and stretch. We will learn a routine and we will take a couple breaks during class. During our breaks we will learn how to be like a real princess and we will make a tiara during this lesson. Week 2: Snow White themed. During this class we will start off with a warm-up and stretch. We will learn a routine and take a couple breaks during class. During our breaks we will focus on qualities of a real princess and play a pin the crown on the evil queen game! Week 3: Aerial themed. During this class we will start off with a warm-up and stretch. We will learn a routine and take a couple breaks during class. We will review what we learned about real princesses and practice new qualities. During this class we will also make a mermaid tail to put snacks in for our craft! The students will be asked to make up their own choreography to the ending of the routine that I teach! (At least 8 counts which can include posing or favorite moves or make-up your own moves.) Students will be asked to share their work in the classroom where students are encouraged to post positive feedback! Week 4: Jasmine themed. During this class we will start off with a warm-up and stretch. We will learn a routine and take a couple breaks during class. We will play a Princess Mad-Lib game and I will have an attachment where you can fill in the words and then you can share your story with the class! Week 5: Elsa themed. During this class we will start off with a warm-up and stretch. We will learn a routine and take a couple breaks during class. We will take a couple breaks during this lesson. During our breaks we will craft and make a princess wand and or princess bracelet and we will review our princess qualities and make a princess pact! *If you have taken any of my live Princess Classes individually or any of my camps, then you have already learned the choreography.*
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to learn new moves if you are new to dance. If you have danced before then this will be a fun way to learn choreography and to have fun dancing to princess music while maintaining flexibility and exercising.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Make sure to have enough space to move around in a safe environment. Be sure to have water nearby and make sure to have comfortable clothing on. (Dance at your own risk.)
Supply List
*Printables will be attached to print out. (Tiara/Mermaid tail/Princess wand/Snow Queen game. If you are not able to print you can make your own using any items around the house.) *Scissors/tape or stapler will be needed for the Tiara, Mermaid tail and Princess wand.
