Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
How do rockets work? What does it take to get a rocket into space?

Students will learn the basics of space rockets and experiment with their own paper and straw rockets in this interactive science class for 6-8-year-olds. Children will get hands-on experience in our class rocket science experiment.

Students will learn the basic physics of thrust and lift. We will also cover what space is and what it takes to get a ship into space. We will learn about the Laws of Motion. We will explore the concepts we learn by building a basic paper rocket and use straws and our own breath to launch our rockets.

I encourage children to fully participate in my classes. I welcome questions and comments during class. Children can usually complete the class on their own. Some younger children may need assistance with their science project.

Supplies for the science experiment:

3-4 sheets of white paper
Clear Tape
Safety Scissors
1-2 Drinking Straws

**** If you have a Special Needs child, please send me a private message. As the Mom of two special needs children, I have a lot of experience. All children are welcome in my classes.*****
