Beginner - Advanced Level
The following are common PreAlgebra concepts: Operations with Integers, Expressions, Equations, Inequalities, Rational Expressions, Percents, Perimeter, Area, Circumference, etc. I will teach using interactive whiteboards, math websites, virtual manipulatives, online simulations and math games. To teach, I use a variety of direct instruction, problem solving, cooperative learning, and hands-on activities. Learners will interact with me significantly. This class is not a lecture-style class. I believe, based on my professional experience and research, that middle school math is learned best by being interactive and engaged.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of integer operations without a calculator.Students will improve the application of solving equations, expressions and inequalities.

Pre-Requisites
Scholars should have already taken Pre-Algebra or will be taking PreAlgebra during the 2024/2025 academic school year.
