US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 2
I can't wait to share my love of science, planets, and space with you! In this class, we will learn 2-3 facts about each planet, form our own planets out of Play-Doh, and set them into orbit around the sun! Who can name them in order by the end of class? What makes a planet...well, a planet? I can't wait to see your awesome planet creations. See you in class! _______________________________________________________________________ ◘Teacher Lisa's Classroom Rules◘ •Have Fun! Engage with your teacher and other students! •Take turns speaking. Do not speak over your new friends. Everyone will get a turn. ♠Equipment Needed Working Camera is required A working microphone Students must check in by showing their face at the beginning or they will be placed in the "waiting room" until they check in correctly. Headphones or Earbuds encouraged. This helps with background noise and helps keep the trainee focused. ♠Platform Knowledge Please go over mute/un-mute with your trainee Prior to class beginning. I will start class on time and will not have time to help with equipment issues/questions. Know how to turn your camera on Please conduct a sound check, too ♠Student Ratio One student per enrollment. You will be placed in the waiting room if there are friends or siblings visible in your screen. You are welcome to enroll other siblings if there are enough spaces. They may share a screen if both students have enrolled. Parents are encouraged to be close by to assist with young learner with any IT issues. However, no adults in the computer frame for safety reasons. ♠Outschool Policies/Refunds I adhere to all Outschool Policies. We will start and end class on time. If no learner is present after 10 minutes, I will exit the class. Per the Outschool policy, "If your learners have not joined the meeting 10 minutes after the start time, the meeting may be cancelled, at the teacher’s discretion. This is considered a missed meeting and you are not entitled to a refund." I will follow all of Outschool's refund policies. I cannot wait to have you in class! We will have fun learning and exploring together! See you soon ☺ ♥ Teacher Lisa YOR ♥

Play Doh! ☺ I recommend 5-6 cans (or more!) for this class. Please try and print the solar system worksheet before class. Otherwise, you can work on a flat surface like a plastic cutting board or cookie sheet & print the worksheet after class to transfer your planets.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from University of Georgia
Fun, positive, and encouraging! That’s what I hear from parents and students alike that take classes with me. I have an extensive background in musical theatre and acting so it’s only natural to bring that side of my personality to teaching. Learning should be exciting and fun. My classroom is colorful, engaging, and we will have so much fun together! My motto is: If I love teaching, my students love learning!
I love singing, acting, science, animals, volunteering in my community, crafting classroom props and creating up-cycled crafts. Just to name a few! I have been
married 25 years and we have 2 teen children and 3 dogs.
Education background:
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I focused on Reading Education and Learning Disabilities in graduate school at UGA. I also have a 120 hour TESOL certificate for teaching ESL classes.
I currently teach phonics, beginning reading and comprehension, Play-Doh science classes, ESL, and several socialization and fun classes to students around the world. So many parents have told me their student works even harder practicing reading, phonics and speaking English in my ESL classes because of my motivation. Positive teaching methods that incorporate applicable skills propel my students to find their own inward motivation and exhibit great success. There’s no higher compliment for a teacher than knowing your student works to improve themselves because they love you and your class. Hard work, kindness, genuine love & a passion for teaching each student is the key to making a lasting impression on learners.
Now let’s get started! Engaging and exciting classes await your learner. See you in the classroom!
