1-2 hours per week. Students will be required to practice what is covered in each lesson. Every student is different, so practice times will vary. Keep in mind, the more you play during the week, the better you will become!Assessment
There will be a review of musical terms and symbols as well as an opportunity to play your favourite pieces in the last class!Class Experience
Students will learn at their own keyboard along with me. Half hour sessions are scheduled each week. Live classes allow for interaction between me and my students! There will be time allotted for teaching new material as well as reviewing material covered in previous weeks. Practice at home in between lessons is highly encouraged. Students and parents are more than welcome to message me during the week if they encounter any trouble or have a question. Students progress at various speeds, and my goal is to tend to each student at their specific level as much as possible.
Learning Goals
Students will become familiar with how the piano works, proper posture, fingerings, note values & dynamics. At the end of the 4 weeks, students will be able to play simple pieces using fingerings and note values. They will be well prepared to move on to note reading which will be offered in the next session.

Students will require 1 text book. Alfred's Lesson Book Level 1A. Available on Amazon for $11.16.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
