This camp is perfect for children getting ready to start school or for those who just need some practice with letter sounds! In this fun phonics camp, learners will be introduced to three or four letter sounds each day through fun games and lots of pictures. Learners will identify words and pictures that match each letter of the alphabet and practice listening skills. Learners will also spend some time out of their chairs, looking for items around the house that start with a specific letter. On the last day of camp, we'll review all the letters of the alphabet and spend some time playing games together. Your child should come to class ready to participate and learn something new! Week 1 Tuesday: A, B, C Wednesday: D, E, F Thursday: G, H, I Week 2 Tuesday: J, K, L Wednesday: M, N, O Thursday: P, Q, R Week 3 Tuesday: S, T, U, V Wednesday: W, X, Y, Z Thursday: Review and Games I'm not currently offering any sections of this class, but send me a message if you're interested!

Parental Guidance
Some activities will include having students search for items around the house that start with the letters we're learning that day.
Supply List
Learners should bring a pencil and paper to class in order to practice writing the letters we learn each day.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Jay and I'm excited to teach your children! I especially love teaching children between the ages of 3 and 10. I teach a variety of classes, including phonics, social clubs, interactive story times, and private tutoring in reading and ESL (English as a second language). In my classes, I strive to help students feel comfortable and gain confidence in the subjects we’re studying. I like to incorporate lots of pictures and games into my classes, and I love to laugh and interact with my students!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Church Ministries: Christian Education from Northland International University. I have 6 years of teaching experience, including Kindergarten, English as a Second Language, and leading small reading groups online for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
