This is a twice a week, one on one, reading tutoring class. It is geared towards beginner readers. I will work with the learner and parents to establish individualized reading instruction. We can learn new skills or build upon current levels. The skills can include, but not limited to the following: letter recognition / sound identification / blends / word families / reading decoding skills / sight words / reading comprehension . I will work with the parents to find a particular focus / schedule that fits the particular needs. It is suggested to complete at least 4 consecutive weeks of tutoring to see the greatest success.

I was a full-time kindergarten teacher and most of my ELA lessons were built around teaching reading skills. My experience includes a wide range of reading levels. We will focus on exactly where your child is currently and advance the skills from there. I will build a relationship and make the learner feel confident.
