Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
This flexible schedule class runs for 4 weeks. In this interactive class, each week we will explore a new number in depth. We will use movement, motion, and counting skills to practice the number. There will be a video each week on the focus number. The video incorporates different movement activities for the learners to practice counting the number. The class will focus on numbers 1-30. Learners should have some knowledge of how to count the numbers, but do not need to be perfect! The class schedule will be as follows: Week 1: Focus Number: 9 We will practice numbers 1-10 with a scavenger hunt around your house. Learners will post on our class Padlet sharing the items that they found for each number. Video will focus on counting to number 9. Worksheets will be available to practice number writing 1-10. Week 2: Focus Number: 12 We will practice numbers 1-15 with a bingo game to find different number of objects. Ex. Hi friends! I cannot wait to learn with you! I earned a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. Currently, I live in Michigan with my husband and our fur babies. You may even see a guest appearance from some of them!
I believe that learning should be fun and exciting! Learning something new should transport us into a new world where we can use our imaginations to grow ideas. Children need movement and exploration to develop skills- even through a screen! My classes focus on building from the ground up. If we do not have a solid foundation, then we cannot build up too high. My classes are learner focused and I adjust difficulty based on student and parent feedback.
My job as an educational facilitator is to model and provide students with the tools they need to be successful. I am very excited for us to work together to learn skills that we can carry with us on our educational journey.
