Class Experience

This self paced class will be a fun art experience in the style of the "Nailed It!" Cooking show.  In the "Nailed It!" Cooking show amateur baker's try to recreate professionally decorated baked goods. We will be trying to recreate the art of different artist in our own style. 

The class offers a series of pre recorded videos that you will have access to, and the opportunity to share their work with the teacher for feedback. Students will be given a choice of art to choose from.  

Each week will present a Small bite Challenge where student will have 2 different objects to choose from to make a 3D sculpture, and a Large Bite challenge where student will be presented 2 different Art pieces that they will choose one recreate in a 2D art style.

  The Small Bite challenge will be 3D art recreated in clay, Play-Doh, Legos, blocks, recycled materials, polymer clay, mud, slime,  mashed potatoes, etc. 

The Large Bite challenge will be to recreate  a 2D drawing or painting using crayons, pastels, pencils, colored pencils, paint, marker, watercolor pencils etc.

For each lesson I will post a video with the Small Bite and Large Bite Challenges. s.

Learning Goals

Students will get a chance to make fun drawings and 3D sculptures, experiment with different art styles, and have a chance to work on public speaking by presenting their art work.

Syllabus

4 Lessons
over 4 Weeks
Lesson 1:
Lesson : Castle and Claude Monet
 Each lesson will present a Small bite Challenge where student will have 2 different objects to choose from to make a 3D sculpture, and a Large Bite challenge where student will be presented 2 different Art pieces that they will choose one recreate in a 2D art style. 
Lesson 2:
Lesson 2: Vase and Japanese woodblock prints
 Each lesson will present a Small bite Challenge where student will have 2 different objects to choose from to make a 3D sculpture, and a Large Bite challenge where student will be presented 2 different Art pieces that they will choose one recreate in a 2D art style. 
Lesson 3:
Lesson 3: Animal and Vincent Van Gogh
 Each lesson will present a Small bite Challenge where student will have 2 different objects to choose from to make a 3D sculpture, and a Large Bite challenge where student will be presented 2 different Art pieces that they will choose one recreate in a 2D art style. 
Lesson 4:
Lesson 4: Mask and Alphonse Muncha
 Each lesson will present a Small bite Challenge where student will have 2 different objects to choose from to make a 3D sculpture, and a Large Bite challenge where student will be presented 2 different Art pieces that they will choose one recreate in a 2D art style. 

Other Details

Supply List
Students will need basic art supplies of their choice. 
Recommended supplies are paper and something to draw and color with. Clay or Play clay to sculpt with.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

 I love to teach different age groups.  I will be teaching classes for the Dungeons and Dragons story telling game. These story driven classes are great for learning  Math skills, Reading skills, Writing, Science, and History. My professional background includes teaching for twenty years.
