Class Experience

In this one-time course, students will play games through Blooket to practice and compete to win. We will focus on fact families 1-12 (1x1 - 12x12). Students will be given a private game link to join and play against others enrolled in class. Blooket offers a variety of games for students to answer questions and receive points. Points can be used to purchase characters (Blooks), build a tower, etc. Students should have an understanding of multiplication before joining class.

- Class will begin with a vote on the game being played - so all voices are heard and games played based on student's interest. 
- Students will play and compete for the remainder of class time.
- If time allows, at the end of class, the teacher will give instructional help to students on how to solve multiplication facts. 
- Students can play using a computer or handheld device (a separate device is NOT needed for class)

Learning Goals

Students will be able to answer multiplication facts 1-12 quickly and accurately. Playing games is a fun way for students to learn at the same time.

Hello! I am currently an online ESL teacher, but I have an educational background in Elementary Education. I have taught students (K-5) in private school and charter school settings. I have over 11 years of teaching experience. 

I have a passion for teaching. I have always wanted to be a teacher, since 3rd grade to be exact (WOW! That was so long ago). I believe each student is unique and different. Each student will learn a different way. I use different methods in each of my classes to teach each child to help them succeed. 

In my everyday life, I am a mother of two. My son is 18 and my daughter is 14. My daughter is also a competitive gymnast, so we spend a lot of our time at the gym. I enjoy reading and try to read a little every day. I also have a passion for photography.
