This class is for students who need extra practice multiplying multi digit numbers with single digit numbers. (Example: 456 x 8=) In my 6th year of professional teaching, I like to think that I have mastered the EDI (Explicit Direct Instruction) teaching method. I will start with modeling how to multiply using partial products. Next, the students will help me and we will work together to solve a problem. Lastly, I will ask the students to do a problem on their own. I love class participation and encourage questions at all times. I will start by going over the lesson on partial products using Google Slides. Students will follow along and try problems on their own or show on the screen. We will then practice the learned skill by playing a game on Kahoot. * It is important students have an understanding of place values before they take this course. However, we will do a quick review in the beginning.

Supply List
Students will need paper/pencil or whiteboard and whiteboard marker. If your student does not have any of these, no problem! They can write directly on the screen or download any free sketch app on their iPad.
