Assignments

1-2 hours per week. I recommend students practice a little every day as they work towards fluency. I provide various practice materials for them to choose from but all work is optional. Nothing needs to be submitted to me.

Assessment

A final multiplication facts assessment is provided and is optional. Students can send it to me for grading if desired.

💡 WHY THIS CLASS? 💡

My first goal is for students to have a positive relationship with math so in my classes I provide fun math instruction as well as ideas on how to foster a growth mindset and insights on how to be a great learner all around. 

Self paced classes work well for students because they can work at their own speed. They don't feel the stress of comparison to others or the pressure to speed up or slow down.  On top of that, having video lessons allows learners to pause or rewind as needed. 

This class provides video lessons and plenty of materials for them to practice at home: worksheets, links to online games, digital flash cards, and even dice or card games they can play with you!

 What is multiplication? Review multiplying by 0 and 1.

Lesson 3:

Multiplication Facts: 2s, 4s, & 8s

 Review & practice strategies for multiplying by 2, 4 and 8.

Lesson 4:

Multiplication Facts: 3s, 10s, 5s & 6s

 Review & practice strategies for multiplying by 3, 10, 5 & 6.

Parental Guidance

We will use Blooket & Gimkit as practice games and Quizlet Flash Cards. No account is needed.

Pre-Requisites

This class was designed for learners who have already been introduced to and have had some practice with the multiplication facts but they need more strategies, practice and fluency with the multiplication facts 0-12.

Supply List

PDF's will be provided so a printer, paper and ink will be helpful.  A tablet with a note taking app can also be used to open and write on PDF's instead of printing. Some of the suggested games use dice or a deck of cards so those can come in handy.
