In this class, students will learn several strategies to complete multi-digit multiplication problems. We will go over the area model and the standard way of doing multiplication. I like to teach using the I do, we do, you do method. I will introduce the strategy by walking through it step-by-step myself. Then we will do a few problems together. Finally, students will have the chance to work on a few problems by themselves to ensure they understand the topic. Students will need paper and a pencil for this class.
