Class experience
I am excited to offer this live class for students that have completed the first 29 pages of the Faber Piano Adventures Level 1 Lesson Book (either my Piano Class #6 or something comparable). It is important for students to have learned notes on the staff as well as intervals prior to enrolling in this class. Each week, students will attend the live class and be introduced to new musical skills. Students will continue learning about intervals, as well as chords, sharps, and flats....
In this class, students will continue learning skills in the Piano Adventures Level 1 Lesson Book. In this course, they will begin on page 30. Students they will practice using both hands on the piano at the same time, as well as review intervals, rests, accidentals, and chords. They will practice playing in C position as well as other hand positions.
I am a retired public school music teacher. I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC with a Bachelors of Music Education. I have taught music to all grades in the public school system, but spent most of time in elementary and middle school music. I have taught private piano lessons for many years in my home to all ages, ranging from 5 years old to adults. I have taught online for more than 5 years and enjoy this a great deal! I am also certified in Reading and ESL and enjoy working with all ages of students.
