Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room where it is always a good day when you are learning something new. In this class, we are going to make a fun and colorful constructive artwork of Mirabel from the movie Encanto, which you can also use as a wall hanging! In this one-time class, I am going to focus on not only drawing Mirabel with step-by-step instructions but introducing a new style of painting, Dot Art, which is also called Dot Mandala or Mandala Art. We will use cotton swabs and paints to make a beautiful dot frame around Mirabel using Encanto colors like pink, purple, yellow, and many more! Young Artists will learn: 1. how to draw Mirabel 2. an expressive facial expression 3. a lot of artists use Mandala Art styles and similar styles which include art theory 4. a fun way to display their artwork by using it as room decor 5. shading techniques (advanced students) They can talk all about Encanto, ask questions, and be creative with their drawing. I can't wait to see your child in my class! Students will be encouraged to socialize and share their artwork although it is not required. Students will also be encouraged to make their artwork unique and to complete their art on their own if they are not finished in class. I pace our class based on the student's abilities, so we will go slower or faster depending on how everyone is doing. No experience is needed for this class; learners will follow directions. Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello and Welcome Outschoolars! I’m Mrs.D. ! I appreciate you considering me to be a part of your young artist's art journey!
I teach various art classes that involve color theories, color wheels, and color schemes that work together to create human figures, landscaping, and canvas painting with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. I love to teach different styles and techniques of art using Art Theory.
I am an artist by profession. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I have participated in many art exhibitions in my public art center and library and taught art, crafts, and card making in elementary schools and Girl Scouts as a volunteer. I love to share art with my community.
I have been teaching 1:1 art classes online and in person for the last 5 years to ages 4 to 14 years. I have instructed children online all around the world, and continue to teach local classes and workshops in my community. I am so happy to continue what I am doing on a bigger and better platform from the comfort of my home.
I like to teach Art Theory in most of my projects so kids will learn multiple things without even realizing it. I believe all students can learn, and art is the best way to express yourself and your feelings in your unique way.
Art helps to improve hand and eye coordination. It also helps to grow your concentration and patience. Sometimes young minds can't express themselves through talking, but through drawing. I love connecting with students through art and helping them grow, laugh, and have some fun!
Class Expectation: Everyone works at different speeds. If the child is not finished with the piece by the end of class, they can finish the remaining picture at home and post it in the classroom.
Join me on this incredible adventure to take your child’s passion to the next level.
Thank you for visiting my profile! I’m looking forward to being a part of your child's art journey, growth, and success; can’t wait to see you in class!
