Minecraft Adventures: Tips, Tricks, and Fun Facts (Flex Class)

***This is a flexible schedule class. No live meetings will be held.***

In this class, we'll learn about Minecraft! This class is perfect for students who want to learn more about Minecraft but aren't sure how to get started.

Week One: What is Minecraft? How can we play the game? What are the different game modes? Students will watch a short video about the different modes and controls they can learn in Minecraft. Then they'll share in our Outschool classroom what they like or dislike about this game. Students will respond to one another in the classroom and the teacher will provide additional feedback.

Week Two: What is creative mode? How can we make the most of this mode? Students will watch three short videos that offer tips and tricks for improving their creative gameplay. The teacher will also provide a short lecture that talks about some of the wonderful ways students can use creative mode. Then students will have a chance to share their Minecraft creations directly in the Outschool classroom.

Week Three: What is survival mode? What can we learn from this mode? The teacher will provide a short lecture on survival mode and all of the things students can learn while playing this mode! Students will also watch a short video that will show them the main controls and things they need to know about surviving in this mode. Students will post in the outschool classroom and answer questions posed by the teacher about this mode.

Week Four: Learner questions! What questions do you have about Minecraft? This week is your student's chance to ask any question they've been struggling with. The teacher will provide tutorial videos as needed, as well as guides and helpful information that can enhance a student's experience with Minecraft. Students may also post pictures or videos of themselves playing Minecraft this week to celebrate our last week of class.
