Math, Movement and Multiplication Games
Class experience
US Grade 3 - 5
Students will play games such as math bingo, magic squares and 24, as well as learn how to solve and make your own Sudoku. We will focus on the multiplication tables but will practice all four processes, (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). In addition to learning through fun activities, we will practice writing out and solving longer multiplication problems and work on strengthening our knowledge of the multiplication tables from 1 to 12, and finding patterns within them....
We will learn and practice counting by 2's, 3's, 4,'s...11's and 12's, and look for patterns within each multiplication table that will help students to learn and memorize them, and we will incorporate movement into some of our learning in order to make it fun and engaging. In addition, we will practice math by playing games such as Bingo, 24, magic squares and Sudokus. Each class will begin with warm up activities such as story problems or counting and clapping games, followed by some active practice writing out and solving problems. We will follow the written practice with a variety of more more math games in order to keep the content interesting and engaging for students.
