Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
In this class, students will learn a variety of strategies to be successful mathematicians. Students will develop a math tool kit of strategies in order to successfully face any math problems. Students will also develop positive ways of thinking about math and becoming true problem solvers. The basics of math will be gone over and reinforced through Gamifyed practice. We will go over addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and word problems predominately in order to bolster their mathematics computation skills and allow them to feel more successful and positive about math.

Parental Guidance
All materials and websites will be given out by the teacher via screen share, we will be using the following resources to practice our learned skills Youtube will be used occasionally for more examples of math computational strategies as a reference for learners before we gain more math practice with specific math strategies. Prodigy Math is a free and optional math and reading curriculum practice game in which students can gain extra math practice based on common core standards outside of class time/ free time game option. Otherwise, a preview of the game will be shared through screen share. I will supply learners with login information. Quizlet and Kahoot may be used to play math games in order to help learners memorize math facts and computations. Math example problems may be used for further math problem reference from Kahn academy and IXL Learning.
