Class Experience
What if Spider-Man was afraid of heights? What if Captain America had never been frozen? What if Loki had ascended the throne of Asgard? What if Hulk had a food named after him? Learners are expected to bring 10 pre-written questions to class for discussion. We will take turns asking questions. Questions can be funny or serous, simple or complex. This class is student-led 100% discussion-based. Learners will use their imaginations to think up endless "what if" scenarios that could have...
Students will practice imaginative, critical, and deductive thinking, speaking skills such as giving opinions and responding to the opinions of others, and social skills such as conversational skills.
Students are expected to write down 5-10 "what if" questions for each session and bring them to class to share. It's very important to have them written and not rely on memory.
Please bring 5-10 written questions to class every time. They can be written on paper or digitally, as long as you have access to them during class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
