This class is taught in Mandarin Chinese.

Students will learn these topics on vocabulary words, sentence structures and apply them in their conversation. They will also know how to pronounce the words and know the meaning of the words. Students will engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions in Chinese. 

I am a native Chinese speaker and have taught Chinese for over ten years from kindergarten to adult learners. I am a certified teacher with experience working at a Chinese immersion school. Throughout my career, I have taught Chinese I, II, III, IV, AP and business Chinese. I have a master's degree in education. I have been using student-centered learning, and I teach language within the culture through art, history, and food.  I would like to share my methods of teaching the Chinese language to children through fun, play, and association.

Students will be given worksheets to review these materials. Students are encouraged to complete a project to share in class to apply what they have learned. 

The assessment will be the worksheet and the practice in class.

1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
