Mandarin Chinese With Games and Music Level 1A

This class is for students who have no background or very little background in Chinese. There is no prior knowledge needed for this class. This is NOT a Chinese immersion class. Students will be able to sing some Chinese songs, write some Chinese characters, and can ask others what they like and dislike. Students are encouraged to complete a family tree project to share in class to apply what they have learned.  There are a variety of games we will play in class to help your child learn Chinese in an interactive and fun way. 

Please note that the listing for this class is twice a week for four weeks and a once-a-week class for eight weeks classes is available by request. Please let me know if you are interested in once a week schedule. Thank you!

Please note we will not be playing Mario in class, but rather this class has a Mario theme to aid in learning Chinese.  I will provide worksheets, practice games, and review material for this class. Students will be learning Chinese words through music and games.

Students will be able to have a conversation on greetings, animals, insects, numbers, everyday conversation, activities, and family members. They can ask others what they like and dislike.  I will be teaching language patterns, making simple phrases, correcting their pronunciation and tones.
