Lesson 1: A Little Spot of Anger Lesson 2: A Little Spot of Anxiety Lesson 3: Expressing Feelings, Empathy, and Apologies Lesson 4: Personal Space Lesson 5: Personal Safety, avoid stranger danger Books Used: A Little Spot of Anger by Diane Alber A Little Spot of Anxiety by Diane Alber The Way I Feel by Janan Cain Personal Space Camp by Julia Cooke LESSON 1: Learn to manage anger in healthy ways Learn rules for what to do and what not to do when angry. Don't hurt yourself or others, do take deep breaths and ask for a break. LESSON 2: What is anxiety? When is it helpful, and when is it no longer helpful? Learn breathing techniques and coping strategies LESSON 3: Learm to be a feeling detective (show empathy) by looking for clues about how others are feeling. Give I messages to express your own feelings, and give apologies when you make a mistake. LESSON 4: Become a personal space expert. Learn to avoid breaking other people's comfort bubbles, and learn how to help others do the same for you. LESSON 5: Personal Safety is so important. Always check first with a trusted adult so that your caregivers know where you are, and who you are with at all times.
