Class experience
In this course, make-up basics will be taught from the tools that should be used to the age-appropriate application of make-up. Students are expected to come with clean bare faces and the class will be primarily taught by example. I will cover topics that include: understanding face/eye shape, how to how to select the appropriate shadow color(s) for eyes, foundation and concealer basics, eyebrow shaping, and appropriate application of facial make-up. Learners will not only learn how to apply make-up, but receive affirmations and gain confidence in their creative explorations around make-up for their own unique and developing style.
As a pageant coach and judge, I often work with students of all ages to create looks that translate well for interviews, the stage, and everyday wear. As a make-up enthusiast I enjoy working with age-appropriate styles and looks and help young people feel affirmed in their explorations of creative ways to express their personal style.

Supplies needed for this course include: (1) Eye-shadow palette of at least three colors (multiple palettes of any kind encouraged); (2) make-up brushes or wands for eye-shadow/highlighted; (3) a cleansing towelette and/or clean and moist cloth; (3) eye make-up essentials including mascara, eyeliner, primer; (4) face essentials including foundation, concealer; (5) other (non-required) supplies include but not limited to highlighter, make-up remover and cotton swabs, make up sponges, setting powder, soft tissue, make-up brush cleaner
