Special FX Makeup for Beginners: Cuts, Bruises, Zombie & Cosplay Magic | Weekend

Students will dive into the world of special FX makeup, learning techniques to create realistic wounds, bruises, and fun cosplay transformations. We’ll focus on foundational skills, creative expression, and safety with materials.

In this fun and interactive special FX makeup class, students will:
* Learn basic FX techniques: Discover how to create realistic-looking cuts, bruises, and scrapes using everyday makeup products and some special FX materials.
* Try out latex applications: We’ll explore latex for building wounds and scars, introducing students to easy methods for realistic results.
* Cosplay basics: Dive into character makeup basics, learning how to create fun, approachable looks inspired by popular cosplay themes.
* Focus on safety and skin care: We’ll cover how to safely apply and remove special FX makeup, keeping skin healthy and irritation-free.
Each session includes a live demo, where students can follow along, ask questions, and experiment with the techniques themselves if they wish! By the end, they’ll be equipped to create special FX magic for Halloween, cosplay events, or just for fun.

By the end of the course, students will:
* Know how to create realistic cuts and bruises using basic special FX techniques.
* Apply latex for scars and wounds safely.
* Develop simple cosplay character makeup looks.
* Learn proper skincare for after FX makeup.

Content builds. Each class session introduces a new technique that builds on previous skills, allowing students to develop a complete set of special FX basics.

Teens will gain a strong foundation in basic FX techniques in a safe, supportive environment where they’re encouraged to experiment and express their unique style.
