Beauty Time for Tweens and Teens Makeup and Positive Affirmations Girls Camp

With over two decades of teaching experience, education isn't just a job for me—it's my calling, my joy, and my passion. I've spent my career dedicated to nurturing young minds and instilling a lifelong love for learning in each and every student who enters both my classroom, and my heart. 


As an educator, my philosophy is simple: I lead by example. I believe in the "I do, you do, we do" approach, where we learn and grow together as a team. My goal is not just to teach, but to inspire, to uplift, and to empower each student to reach their full potential.

But let's not forget the most important part—fun! Learning should be an adventure, a journey filled with laughter, excitement, and joy. That's why I'm committed to making every class an engaging, enjoyable experience for all.

Throughout the course, students will not only learn from me but also from each other, through lively discussions, group projects, and collaborative activities. Together, we'll build a community of learners where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported.

All learners must follow the Outschool learner verification safety process. To be let into the room, your learner must have the name on their zoom account match the name on the student roster verbatim. The student must also make sure to have their camera on before entering the classroom. If their camera is not on upon being let into the classroom, they will be removed immediately, but they will be let back in once their cameras are on and their names match. The child must also have enough light on to be identified by the teacher. After they have been identified, they MUST keep their cameras on for the entirety of the classroom time. 

Class Description
Join us for an exciting online makeup class designed specifically for preteen and teenage girls! In this course, learners will master the art of applying makeup, styling hair, and creating beautiful nail designs. Alongside these beauty skills, students will also explore the importance of positive self-image, self-esteem, and self-respect. They will learn to speak positive affirmations and embrace their unique beauty.

Parents can expect a fun, interactive, and supportive learning environment that caters to various learning styles. Here are some details about the class experience:

- **Frequency**: 2 classes per week
- **Class Length**: 1 hour per session
- **Target Age Group**: Preteen and teenage girls (ages 10-16)

What will be taught?
Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of makeup application, hair styling, and nail design, as well as lessons on positive self-image and self-esteem:
- Basic makeup techniques (foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick)
- Hair styling tips (braiding, curling, and easy updos)
- Nail art and care (basic manicure, nail polish designs)
- Positive self-image and self-esteem building activities
- Speaking positive affirmations

I have a few different approaches when it comes to my personal teaching style, and this is the teaching style we value and expect from all of our teachers at HHTA. We all have the, "I do, you do, we do approach. We also focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every learner feels valued. My teaching style emphasizes:
