Get ready to have a blast, and learn foundational math concepts -- at the same time!

This asynchronous, flexible schedule version of Make Math Fun: Kindergarten Curriculum for students with Autism, ADHD and Neurodiverse Learners, focuses on finding ways to really engage kids while they are learning math, right from the start of their educational journeys. By instilling -- from the get go -- the idea that math class is a fun, inventive, exciting and a creative place to be, kids can grow up with a love of learning, instead of fear and intimidation around this subject. We engage students with fun lessons that speak to all types of learners, so whether your child is a visual, auditory or kinesthetic type learner, or a fusion of the different types, he or she will feel comfortable, engaged and excited to tackle these foundational math lessons.

Each week, you'll receive three video lessons. The first two focus on gaining new knowledge and practicing new skills. Along with interactive video instruction, you'll also receive an activity component -- like a colorful worksheet or a scavenger hunt challenge -- that can be printed out, to take what we're learning in the virtual world and apply it to the tactile world. (It can be completed online, as well.) Every Friday is Show Off Your Smarts Day! You'll get your third video, an interactive movement based lesson, which focuses on reviewing the concepts we've learned that week, and gives each student the chance to really take pride in what they are accomplishing. I've found that this review day is key for not only making sure that students understand and remember our lessons, but that it really helps build confidence, and encourages kids to keep going! They're doing an incredible job, cramming so much new knowledge into their developing brains. Show Off Your Smarts Day gives them the chance to feel like a big, smart kid, and take pride in everything they've been able to learn!

☆ What does "Flexible Schedule" mean and why is it awesome?
Make Math Fun: Kindergarten Curriculum is *asynchronous*, meaning there will be:
🚫 No live meetings!
✅ Recorded lessons will be posted in the virtual classroom on Outschool.com for students to enjoy at their own pace and per their own schedule!

Why Enroll for a Flex Class:
1.) The recorded videos have the EXACT SAME content as the live version of class... PLUS a weekly movement review class (Show Off Your Smarts Day!!) that you WILL ONLY GET during this flex class!
2.) You do not have to worry about/deal with poor internet connection, other students' behavior and other distractions that may stop your child from learning.
3.) If your schedule does not matchup with my live classes, you will have the same content that you can watch whenever you want to! Then, you can re-watch the videos whenever you want to! Pause, skip, back up, slow down, speed up, replay!

🕗 How long will the content be available to my student?
The virtual classroom on Outschool.com, and all of its content, remains active for 30 days AFTER the end date shown for each section. After 30 days, commenting is restricted, but the content and links remain available to students and parents "indefinitely" (meaning: possibly forever?). I am reachable by Outschool message at any time. After enrolling, if you need/want to be transferred to a more current section, I will do this for you free of charge.

🎓 Mr. Wolff's Qualifications
Throughout my almost 2 decades in education, I have worked with students from Preschool all the way up to college. After receiving my education degree from SUNY Brockport, I received my Masters' Degree in Educational Administration (School Building Leader and School District Leader) from Lehman College. I have spent over a decade working for NYC DOE and also spent two years working at Barnard College, the sister college of Columbia University.

My experiences with students in all of these age groups taught me one thing, over and over again -- one size fits none. You can't mass produce education, it only works well if it's individualized, and if lessons are taught in ways that excite, interest and engage each student. In 2012, I started a company focusing on unique and individual learning techniques. Our in-person classes taught a myriad of educational lessons through mediums that gripped my students -- we taught math concepts through movement games, language and writing skills through art, etc. During the coronavirus pandemic, I transitioned that same concept to my Outschool classes -- it's a platform that I love because it allows me to tap into kids' niche interests in an even more drilled down way than I could do in person. Now, whether my younger students are learning about a certain calculation technique via a Pokemon character, or my older ones are discussing their true passions as a way to figure out how to get into their dream colleges, I'm most satisfied with my work when I'm meeting kids right where they are. Seeing a child learn something new while he or she is showcasing expertise in a subject area of passion is a win for me and for the student. I learn from my students every day, and I'm thrilled when they feel like they've grown and gained in each class, too.

I look forward to working with your student!!
