In this one time class, children will learn the life cycle, diet, habitats, and other fun facts about turtles. My pet turtle "Squirt" will also be making a guest appearance during class!

In this one time class, the children will learn all about turtles. I will start class by asking the children to share why they like turtles. This will be one of many opportunities for the children to socialize and practice turn taking throughout the class. I will use pictures and props throughout the class to show the life cycle of turtles and some different species of turtles. My pet turtle, "squirt" will make a guest appearance as we discuss the parts of a turtle. A turtles diet varies depending on whether they are pets, wild, or sea turtles. So we will discuss what wild and pet turtles eat as well as what "squirt" likes to eat. We will end class by learning` more fun facts and answering any questions the children my have.
