Week of 2/9/24 - The Third Wheel Week of 9/9/24 - Hard Luck Week of 16/9/24 - The Long Haul Week of 23/9/24 - Old School Week of 30/9/24 - Double Down Week of 7/10/24 - The Getaway Week of 14/10/24 - Melt Down Week of 21/10/24 - Deep End Week of 28/10/24 - Big Shot Week of 4/11/24 - Diary of a Wimpy Kid Week of 11/11/24 - Rodrick Rules Week of 18/11/24 - The Last Straw Week of 25/11/24 - Dog Days Week of 2/12/24 - The Ugly Truth Week of 9/12/24 - Cabin Fever Further themes will be added. Learners can join the class at any point. This is an ongoing course so each class stands alone. We focus on a different theme from the books each week whilst developing comprehension skills, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Learners can join the class no matter how much of the series they have read. Each week will include a range of teaching activities including reading out loud, videos, discussions, activity sheets, Q+A, slides and more. Parental Guidance
Please note, this is an English language class. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own teaching materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.
Supply List
Learners will need a notebook, pencil and crayons for each class. The books are required for this class. Students may use e-books, hardcopy and paperbacks, or audiobooks to read and comprehend the text.
