Description

Class Experience

In this class, students will learn to use very basic shapes to paint birds, and receive gentle guidance in techniques to help their basic shape come to life. Techniques for this project will include testing pigments, wet on dry, wet on wet, layering, and lifting. The teacher will model these techniques, and the students will get the opportunity to try the technique and explore. Students can prepare for class by tracing the outlines on to their watercolor paper, or they can draw their own shapes to play with!

  1 file available upon enrollmentwatercolor paint (either pans or tubes are great!)
a palette or plastic tray for mixing
2 sheets of 8.5" x 11" watercolor paper, or mixed media paper that allows for wet and dry mediums
watercolor brushes (rounds and flats are great to start with) or whatever brushes you have on hand work too! 
2 cups of water for cleaning brushes
paper towel
pencil 
eraser

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
