US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Throughout our time together, we will dive deep into the world of empathy, compassion, and understanding. Through interactive activities, group discussions, and a heartfelt story, we will learn what kindness is, how to foster kindness in our everyday lives and make a positive impact on those around us. Together, we will discover the joy and fulfillment that comes from treating others with kindness and respect. Let's embark on this remarkable journey of social skill development and kindness cultivation with Ms. Pamela. Get ready to make a difference and spread kindness far and wide! We will be reading a book about kindness called "Showing Kindness" by Pamela Williams and talking about what it means to be kind. We will sing a song about kindness sung to the tune "If You're Happy and You Know It". We will also play a thumbs up and thumbs down game on "Being Kind or Not Being Kind". We will then do an activity with our cut out paper hearts and find out what happens to our own heart and other's hearts when we are not kind. Can we ever get all the wrinkles out of our hearts? Each student will need a paper heart cut out for this class. (Big enough to put many folds in.)
Learning Goals

Teacher expertise and credentials
Associate's Degree in Education from College of DuPage
Teaching this lesson is important to me. In life, we do not have to like everyone and not everyone will like us but it is still important to be kind to everyone we meet.
