US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this two-week Science Club, we will learn about the planets, the Sun, the moon, stars, asteroids and explore space too! This course includes STEM activities. Each week will include a range of activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Each week will include experiments, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, songs, videos and much more. Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. Learners will be required to: ✔️Use household objects to complete the experiment ✔️Upload photos of their experiments to the classroom ✔️Report their findings ✔️Comment on other learner work ✔️Upload copies of the worksheets ✔️Complete a challenge in the classroom together What is taught in this course? Super Space Day 1 - The Planets Day 2 - The Sun Day 3 - The Stars and Constellations Day 4 - The Moon Day 5 - Asteroids, Comets and Beyond Day 6 - Rockets, Astronauts and Gravity All materials are posted in the classroom at 7pm PST on Sunday each week. Supply List
Learners will need paper, pen, pencil and crayons for each class. Some classes may require things to be cut out before the class and for learners to bring glue to class with them. Some classes involve a simple experiment. The required materials will be posted to the classroom. Please print out or download the relevant handouts in advance of each class. These will be uploaded to the 'Classroom' by Monday each week.
