Class Experience

Students will learn their letters through different games and activities.  We will recognize letters and words that start with that letter.

We will start each class by singing our abc's.  Then Miss Audrey will introduce the 3 targeted letters for the day.  We will search for the letter, write the letter, and play games to reinforce the skills.

Miss Audrey will send home practice sheets that the students can complete throughout the week.  You will also receive a page for each letter so your child can create his or her very own abc book.

No experience is required.

Hello, my name is Audrey, and I am so glad to be here and am excited to share a little about me. I love learning and teaching.  Every day is a day to learn something new no matter how old we are.  

I attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri earning a bachelors in elementary education with an emphasis in early child.  I then went back to school and received my bachelor's in communication science disorders which allows me to be a speech therapist assistant.

My classes are developed to help students have the foundational skills to become lifelong learners.  Also, there are classes that are developed to help students to build on their desires and passions, so they can meet their goals.

I believe every learner has the opportunity to learn if they have a good attitude and the right environment.  The environment makes a big difference on the learner's attitude.  In my classes, I always engage as many senses as possible, since research shows that stronger neural pathways are formed when more senses are engaged!  Students also take control of their own learning by asking questions and sharing what they know.  

I am more a facilitator and try help where is needed and ask engaging questions.

Some fun facts about me include a love for outdoors, spending time with family, and reading.  Alex, my dog, looks like a fox.  I always like to learn something new and now I am learning to play the piano.
