Students will learn careers in American Sign Language (ASL) in this one-time class. This class is also beneficial for hand exercise and finger movement.

In this class, students will be learning some basics of American Sign Language (ASL). They will learn careers. What to expect in class and what order: 1) I will teach them the careers listed below. They will learn beneficial details while signing, such as needing to keep their hand as still as possible when signing but keeping signs accurate. If we have time left over, we will do one or both of the following: 1) We will practice the careers they learned. 2) We will play "Simon Says" using the words they learned. Example: Simons says... "show me 'doctor'," "show me 'dancer'," "show me 'actor'," "show me 'lawyer'," etc. Money words they'll be learning: ➳ Firefighter ➳ Cop (police officer) ➳ Doctor ➳ Nurse ➳ Vet ➳ Pilot ➳ Dancer ➳ Teacher ➳ Athlete ➳ Actor ➳ Lawyer ➳ Musician

Parental Guidance
You may stay within sight of your child if you'd like to learn some ASL for yourself. If not, that's fine. The kids should do great in class; no adult guidance is required.
