Students in this one time class will learn all about what value is and the importance of it! The class will begin with a quick definition and explanation of value. We will then move onto two exercises demonstrating and further explaining value through shapes. In our final exercise, students will follow my demonstration to create a still life drawing and color it in using value. We will cover: What is value? How can value be created? A simple demonstration to get started using value concepts through shapes An exercise using what students have just learned to draw a simple still life image, and color it in using value.
Learning Goals
After completion of this class, students will have a full understand of value and how they can apply it to their drawings.

Students will need: The print out provided At least two sheets of plain white paper Crayons or colored pencils A pencil An eraser A pencil sharpener (optional but recommended) A rule (optional)
