Each week in this ongoing class, we learn to draw a new animal using basic shapes, coloring, texture, and shading techniques. Students choose the photo of the animal drawing reference and discuss their favorite animals as we learn to draw. ⭐New to Outschool? Enter the coupon code at checkout. ⭐ The class structure will proceed as follows: Each class starts with introductions or a quick social check-in. Then students choose the animal we draw from a selection of photos. I show the students step-by-step how to draw the animal using shapes on screen and by hand, checking in with student progress as we work. All students are encouraged to add their own imaginative spin in realistic or cartoon styles and finish the drawing with shading or coloring. If time allows, we will repeat the process and draw a second animal, students' choice. During drawing time, students are encouraged to socialize and share facts about the animals we draw as well as their pets. My goal is to create a creative, social learning environment where students will feel comfortable sharing their ideas and art with other young artists. Artists learn through feedback. Students are encouraged --but not required-- to share in-progress drawings throughout the class and final pictures with one another. An schedule is as follows: ** All animals drawn in this class are chosen by the students in attendance.** Week of 11/4: Great White Shark Week of 11/11: Deer Week of 11/18: Turtle Week of 11/25: Turkey Week of 12/2: Dachsheund Dog Week of 12/9: Robin Week of 12/16: Tiger Week of 12/23: Rhinoserus Week of 12/30: Antelope Week of 1/6: Iguana Week of 1/13: Betafish or Fancy Goldfish Week of 1/20: Chihuahua Week of 1/27: Parrot Week of 2/3: Lion Week of 2/10: Dolfin Week of 2/17: Llama Week of 2/24: BlueTailed Lizard Week of 3/3: Axolotl Week of 3/10: Husky Dog Week of 3/17: Humming Bird Week of 3/24: Wolf Week of 3/31: Giraffe Week of 4/7: Capybara Week of 4/14: Penguin Week of 4/21: Horse Week of 4/28: Black Panther Week of 5/5: Cat Week of 5/12: Ball Python Week of 5/19: Clownfish ** Message me or ask in class to add to this list!
