In this engaging class, students will learn all about flamingos! What do they eat? Why do they stand on one leg? Why are they pink? Students will view an eye-appealing slide show and have the opportunity to answer and ask questions. After learning about the flamingo, students will have fun creating a handprint flamingo with pink paint. They will be guided to add the details to their handprint to create the flamingo. I am an energetic teacher that loves to get kids excited about learning. Let’s Explore: Flamingos!

Parental Guidance
Students will need help setting up their paint area. They will be painting one hand pink to create a flamingo. They will need to leave the class to wash and dry their hand.
Supply List
Pink paint Paint brush Orange marker Black marker White paper (card stock is best if available)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Ms. Jennifer. I'm very excited to teach your child through Outschool! I have over 20 years of experience in education and absolutely LOVE teaching students! My husband, three children, and I live in Pennsylvania in the United States. Spending time with my family, enjoying nature, and reading books are some of my favorite things to do. Having fun in the classroom is very important to me and helping my students to be the best that they can be. I am interested in teaching classes about all of the wonderful creatures in nature, art and creative thinking, as well as comparing and contrasting fun literature. I am certified in Elementary Education, but also have a background in Gifted Education. I enjoy challenging students to think outside of the box and beyond just facts and figures. Other experiences include teaching art and online ESL classes. My hope is that your child will be inspired to be creative and develop of love for learning new things!Reviews
