In this class, the goal is to stay up to date with the most current news and research in the bird world. Each week we will meet to introduce and discuss new topics. Students are encouraged to do research outside of class and bring topics they find interesting to the discussion. Examples of class topics and topics students are welcome to bring to class include but are not limited to, conservation, research, extinction, laws, and trending news. Each class will focus on different topics, depending on current events. Classes do not build off previous classes. Learners are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required to join this class.

I am excited to guide your students in exploring the wonders of animals and nature! I hold a Master’s in Science with a focus on Wildlife Biology (2019) and have taught Ornithology for six years. My passion for wildlife conservation, education, and birding drives me to spark curiosity and a deeper connection with the natural world.
In my classes, students engage with scientific methods and research, learning to observe, investigate, and think critically. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for nature and empower young learners to see the world through
