Students will learn to draw with love, passion, and determination. Students will be guided through each step on how to draw a winter penguin. I will stop frequently to ensure all students are able to follow my teaching pace. As we draw our penguin together, we will also discuss facts about penguins: how they survive in the winter, what kind of food they eat, how they survive their cold habitat, and much more. Students will be encouraged to share their work either as a whole class or individually. If time permits, we will learn how to draw a background to our artwork.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a classroom teacher in Maryland for the past 16 years. I have taught middle school math, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I am currently a STEAM teacher/Coordinator. I enjoy teaching with a hands on approach, positive atmosphere, 5 step engineering process, and everyone can succeed! I strongly believe that every child can be successful when one discovers their own learning style. I believe all subjects are equally important, including music. I have been playing the trombone for 36 years.
