US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this one-time class, your child will learn about the different states of matter. Students will discuss the different types of matter they see during the winter season. They will learn science vocabulary: matter, solid, gas, liquid, property, mixture, and volume. Students will also observe two STEM activities where they will be able to observe the changes in matter. Does your child like to draw and be creative? If they do they will enjoy drawing their own snowman. Every snowman will be different in design as students create their snowman masterpieces by answering different questions. After students have completed their personalized snowman and named it, they will take their snowman through the journey of the different states of matter. Students will draw what their snowman would look like as a solid, liquid, and gas. During this class, students will view a slide presentation, watch a short video clip, and play an interactive review game. I look forward to exploring "Winter Matter" with your child. ATTENTION PARENTS: There is a printout for this class. If you are unable to print it out, you can draw the words and lines on your child's paper for them before class.
